Had an incredible experience at Valerie Toronto. We called last-minute after a reservation at another restaurant was cancelled, and they accommodated us right away. The food was amazing and satisfying — we had the fried rice, shrimp dumplings, salmon tataki (fresh, balanced, and delicious), wagyu skirt steak, and the standout soy garlic chicken, which was crispy and perfectly seasoned. Drinks were equally great — we tried the Hot Step and Rest for the Wicked, both fantastic. Kenya, our server, was kind and attentive throughout the night. We ended with the white chocolate cheesecake — the perfect finish. Beautiful space, great ambience, and genuinely kind staff. We’ll definitely be returning!

We came here for our anniversary and cannot recommend it enough. The restaurant is gorgeous with fantastic ambiance, stunning views, and incredible service. I need to give credit to Gabriela who helped my partner make it a truly special night; she was so attentive to small details, checked in with us regularly, and made some great recommendations on which food and drinks to order (everything we got was so good - try the Wagyu Mac). We loved the soft live music that was playing throughout the night and would definitely come again especially for a special night out.

I travel often, and this spot reminds me of The Shard in London. Lovely gem in our city with a live musician. My friend was visiting from out of town this weekend and she loves to see the city views, this spot immediately came to mind. 28 floors in the sky. Our server Tiana was exceptional, very attentive, and everything came out quickly. All the drinks she recommended were phenomenal. We ordered the oyster mushrooms, which we both loved, perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. Im veggie and my friend had the salmon as well, which she thought was good. Next, we had the Udon minus beef, which had the BEST umani flavour and a great portion size so we could share. Simply divine. This is not my first time at Valerie, and it won't be my last. We were in the drawing room, which has an elegant atmosphere with low lighting and beautiful furniture and fixtures. All the staff greeted us with smiles. Ahmad personally checked on us before and after we were moved to the bar because we wanted to stay beyond our allotted table time. We didn't mind the move at all. They kindly carried everything for us to the bar, so we stayed well in to the night catching up. Kian was super responsive to our needs at the bar, which was lovely.

Had a wonderful dinner at Valerie with my family. We were served by wonderful staff who catered to one of my family member’s allergy. The food served was amazing, especially the XO fried rice which surprisingly was vegan. Where we were seated had an amazing view of the city and of Lake Ontario. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience at Valerie.

The hostess Gabby was a wonderful person, very happy to help with anything at all! The food is incredible! The view out the windows is spectacular! And if you get a chance to sit at the bar while Catie is serving, you will get a bartender and someone who will match your energy in conversation while recommending the best drinks! Everything about this place is classy as ever. I will be booking back at this hotel just so I can visit this restaurant, and mostly because the staff is so unbelievably wonderful!

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here, and it was such an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, the hostess and our waiteress made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The menu is full of fantastic options, and when I asked our waitress for recommendations, she helped us narrow down some great choices. We started with the Lap Cheong pork dumplings, which were so flavourful definitely a highlight of the meal. Next, we shared the Niku Yaki udon, and wow, the portion was huge! It was so creamy and delicious, we even had leftovers to take home. We also tried the Valerie Omakase, which included a chef’s choice of assorted sashimi, nigiri, and maki. Everything was incredibly fresh, but we especially loved the crab handroll. The Nori goma and umami mayo added such a rich, flavorful twist—it was unforgettable. For dessert, we were treated to a matcha raspberry sandwich. It was so tasty, though a bit challenging to cut into (it was rock hard!), but we still really appreciated it. We initially chose this spot for the amazing view, but unfortunately, a snowstorm had rolled in, and the clouds blocked the scenery. That didn’t stop us from having a great time, though! The restaurant has a cozy and warm atmosphere, and the live music really added to the charm. We were still able to take some beautiful photos and enjoy the evening. I’ll definitely be back when the weather’s clear to enjoy that breathtaking view!
